So yesterday morning, I woke up with about 2 hours of sleep and a recurring headache from the night before and thought, Great, another crappy Monday. I got to school and sulked in my usual corner.
I didn't have to wait long for Brice to show up, and that's always relieving. Waiting sucks. He came with a A&W Root Beer in his backpack, which I gratefully chugged in English during A Separate Peace while Mr. Kessel wasn't looking. With sugar coursing through my system I finally have some energy and made it through History okay. Band was fun; it always is. Even though the band kinda sucked (we always do Mondays), I felt awake and confident and was happy with how I played the flute. In German, the substitute let Brice, Emilee, and I out for lunch early because we were the only group who were working diligently on the assignment (and believe me - it was not an easy one!). We had R&R pizza, and, believe me, that can make the whole day brighter on it's own. I called Mom and told her I had decided to go to Brice's after school, since she was working and I didn't feel like being home alone. The rest of school sailed by pretty fast and smoothly, with an energy drink to keep me awake.
When I got to Brice's house, I find out Mom's not getting off work late like I thought she was, so that bummed me out. Brice and I went to the park where we found our friend Alex and chilled with him a while. Then my day takes a turn for greatness when I somehow end up with permission to spend the night at Brice's.
My old friend Kara came over and she, Victoria, Tiffany, Brice and I all took a walk all the way up to Fry's. We had walked for about two hours when we got to Heather's house, and we chilled there until she got off school and took us back to Brice's.
Then we watched a movie in Patrick's room and after that I cuddled with Brice on his bed until I fell asleep.
So, it was a pretty amazing day. One of the best I've ever had. I just had to write about it.

Classes I Don't Have To Go To This Week!
So, like most 17 year olds, right now, my life consists mostly of school. I go there 5 days a week, 7 hrs and 10 mins a day, and sleep through about an hour of it... but still, it's a big chunk of my time! SO why not write about what goes on there? Here's the rundown of a typical school day in the life of Jazzmine Kaml.
I wake up at 6:20am, then catch the bus at about 6:45am. I'm not the type of girl who spends 2 hours getting ready. I just roll out of bed and go. It's school, not a party or job interview. I get to Mingus at about 7:20.
Before first bell rings, I sit outside the cafeteria at my morning spot. I'm usually the first one there, soon followed by my best friend Alexia and my boyfriend Brice. We talk about mostly nothing, sometimes do homework, and sometimes eat breakfast (nasty!) until the bell rings. Then it's off to English.
8:00-8:55 English, Mr. Kessel
Contrary to popular opinion, I like English. I was lucky to get landed with Mr. Kessel this year. Last year, I got a horrible teacher who I strongly believe is manic-depressive, despite the argument that she's just irritable because she had a kid not too long ago. But Mr. Kessel is great. He's probably the best English teacher on campus. I'm grateful that this is my first hour class, since I'm not a morning person, and I don't really have to think in English. I breeze right through it without even trying.
Cool People In Class: Brice and J.C. They sit on either side of me. J.C. is hardly ever there, so you really never know when he's going to show up. I always wonder why he skips so much, how he gets away with it, and how he's still passing (if he is).
Most Memorable Memory: Playing hacky sack with a rolled up pair of gloves in the middle of silent reading time. Hey, we had a substitute that day ;P
9:00-9:55 U.S. History, Mr. Devore
If there's one class I find the most difficult to follow, it's history. There are so many different events and dates that I just get lost. If I could sleep, I would, but Devore will yell at you if you're talking, sleeping, reading, or doing anything that isn't history related. I really don't like Devore. I don't think he teaches right, and he mumbles and rambles on.... ugh.
Cool People In Class: Brice, Taylor, and Brian. I don't get to sit next to Brice in this class, but that's okay because I have Taylor next to me. She's really cool and easy to talk to. We can ramble on about nothing all the time. She helps relieve the boredom. Brian brings a little life to the class. He's really funny, and likes to take charge in presentations and makes everything humorous. You gotta admire people like that.
Most Memorable Memory: I was asleep (it was heaven-sent, let me tell you) and all of a sudden I jerked awake. Everyone in my row was laughing at me. I had jumped into a puddle or something in my dream and completely jumped awake, with a loud thud. We were laughing about it for the rest of class.
10:05-11:00 Beginning Band, Mr. Henager
The most impacting class this year. I had originally had Algebra II for 3rd hour, but after a meeting with all my teachers and my counselor, I decided I wanted to do band instead, since I was failing. From not touching a clarinet since 5th grade, I was amazed at how quickly I picked up where I left off and then soared to the top, soon becoming one of the best clarinetists in that class. I get bored of the material all the time as I continue to excel. It's amazing. And Mr. Henager is my favorite teacher. He always brags about how good he is, and you know what? He has that right.
Cool People In Class: Brice, Josh, and Peter. Brice plays the trumpet, and alongside him is Peter. I think Peter is amazing on the trumpet. Josh is a sweetheart, he's a saxophonist and a good friend. The class is mostly freshmen and a bit hard to be patient with, but with upperclassmen including myself, bossing the freshmen around and whipping them into shape, it's bearable. They probably hate us :P
Most Memorable Memory: Playing the flute solo on Ancient Spirits. I screwed up so bad, but the adrenaline rush was insane.
11:05-12:10 German I, Frau Klein (Mrs. Little)
Ich liebe Deutschklasse! Sie ist sehr prima! Ich bin gut Deutsch zu lernen. Sie ist macht Spaß! Aber, ich besser als Deutsch schreiben spricht. Frau Klein sagt ich bin sehr gut geht. Das gefällt mir. Deutsch ist eine meiner Lieblingsklassen. :)
Kühl Leute in der Klasse: Brice, Emily, Austin, Tyler, und Heinz. Sie alle halten die Klasse lebt!
Denkwürdigste Speicher: Brice fiel über seinen Schreibtisch!!
12:10-12:50 Lunch
Brice and I usually eat the nasty cafeteria food, then go off campus, down to Frys. Our friends Zach, Riley, Sapphire, and Bobby are usually there, among other people. We stand around and talk while they smoke, and then head back before the bell rings.
1:00-1:55 Beginning Guitar, Mr. Henager
First of all, I don't play the guitar in beginning guitar. I did for the first semester, but discovered I really don't like playing guitar. So instead, Alexia and I play the flute. We usually play, read, and talk. It's our special time to spend talking about what's going on in each others lives. It's a fun class, though it drags on a bit.
Cool People In Class: Alexia, Kanen, and Brian.
Most Memorable Memory: Playing the flute for the first time with my best friend.
2:00-3:05 Earth Science, Ms. Badger
NAP TIME!! No, seriously. I do nothing but sleep in that class. The teacher's pretty laid back, but the class is filled with annoying freshmen. I have to take Earth Science online this summer anyway, so I use 6th hour as my nap hour. Sometimes I stay awake when we watch a movie or something, but mostly I just like to sleep.
Cool People In Class: Brice, Alex, and (sometimes) Scotty.
Most Memorable Memory: Probably the time we went to the computer lab to do an online volcano game, but it was blocked on our student accounts, so Ms. Badger logged us on to her account. I went on youtube and looked at funny cat videos, while Scotty..... Scotty googled old man porn XD

Talk About Nostalgia.
Thinking back on my childhood, it seems I had a lot more freedom than I do now. Now, I'm not talking about no bed time, no parental constriction type of freedom. I was practically chained down when I was a little kid, so that's not what I mean. I mean, my mind was so more open to things, my imagination wild. I could spend one day being a spy, a cat, a jungle woman, an alien hunter, and a lion, and still make it to bed by 9:00. I don't really remember ever being unhappy, apart from small things like my sisters picking on me or not getting my way. The world was mine for the taking. I could be anything I wanted to be (a famous singer was my goal). I was oblivious to the cruelty and hardship of the world, blissfully ignorant. If I could, I'd still be that way.
I think reality slowly started creeping in around the 5th grade. That's when things started really changing for me. Up until then, the kids in my class were friends with just about everybody. Cliques hadn't really developed yet; mostly it was the girls vs the boys, you know, push them down on the playground, then giggle about how cute they were behind their backs. But in 5th grade, the kids began to separate from each other... alliances were formed and social statuses suddenly became important. If someone wasn't just like you, they weren't your friend. This is where it became tough for me, because I've always been different, there has always been something "off" about me, at least to other people. Suddenly, I was being seen as the nerdy girl with glasses and scraggly hair and hand-me-down clothes. The bland girl. The Outsider. Other girls thought I was weird; their tight knit groups didn't have room for one more, and boys didn't play with girls, are you serious? So for the most part, I was left alone.
And this is where the secrets of the world began to unfold. Underneath the warm exterior lies a grim, cold truth: the world will never be what you expected. Growing up to me is just a way of saying, "Time to stop playing pretend and get with the program." Imagination shatters and you're suddenly left standing on your own in a sea of responsibilities and work. It's funny, when I was little, I dreamed of growing up and being free. How ironic. Now that I'm almost an adult, I keep thinking back, envying my child self for what she had: creativity, imagination, a dream.

More than just a song.
The opening song to Kingdom Hearts 2, Sanctuary by Utada Hikaru. First I liked it because I thought it was an awesome song. I put it on my iPod and listened to it all the time. Then I found out the lyrics may mean something else to me, something deeper than just a cool song.
To me, this song can spin a lot of different stories. But the one I like to picture the most is the connection between me and my lost baby, Skye. I don't think miscarried babies don't have souls. I've always believed in the spirit of my twin sister watching over me, and I now believe Skye is at her side. I don't know if Skye's a girl or a boy, so I refer to her as both, switching back and forth. I don't think it's right not to love someone just because you never saw their face. To me, someone never born can be just as real as someone living and breathing. Jordan and Skye will always be family to me, even if I'm the only one on Earth who loves them.
So, with that in mind, listen to the song, read the lyrics, and see if you can see what I see.

Eh, complicated question.
I have no full-blooded siblings. I have 2 older sisters, Rachel and Heather, and a little sister Mikayla, who I consider to be full-blooded sisters simply because I've lived with them. Then there's Jordan, whom I consider to be a sister, even though nobody else does because she's not alive. She was my twin, but my mom miscarried her. I strongly believe I've always had a spiritual connection to her though. Rachel and Heather have 2 half-sisters, Anelyse and Tess, whom I also consider my half sisters, even though we're not directly related. On my dad's side I have 2 half brothers and a half sister, but I've never met them. Then I have my future siblings-in-law, Victoria, Tiffany, and Patrick. I love them like family already :) I also consider my best friend, Alexia, as a sister. Plus, my friend Alex calls me his sissy. So yeah. Short answer though would be 3 sisters.

How do you want to Die
I have 2 different answers for this:
If I were to commit suicide (not suicidal!!) I'd want to jump off a building, so I could have the feeling of flying right before the end, OR I'd want to die in a game of Russian Roulette. The rush of every bullet missed would be incredible.
Naturally, I want to die of old age... But I have a strange feeling I'm going to die in a car crash, or in a way that involves a car. Which is probably why I'm so scared of driving. What do you want to be when you Grow Up
